Senior Pastor Sila & Martha Mataia
Sila Mataia has been the Senior Pastor of The House of Prayer since 2016.
Sila & Martha came to Australia by following and obeying the call of God upon their lives. “We must fulfil what God is asking of us. You never know who God is trying to reach by using you”.
They have a deep passion and commitment in building leaders and their encouragement to everyone is to sow the seed of Jesus and to win the lost at any cost.
Sila is currently part of the City West North Region team for Australian Christian Churches (ACC).
Martha is originally from Nagaland, Northeast India and Sila from New Zealand but they met in the Philippines. They have been married for over 10 years and have a beautiful daughter, Gabriella.
Sila is passionate about building strong leaders and is committed to paving the way for them in order to fulfil God’s purpose and calling over their lives. Over the years, under his visionary leadership, young leaders have been trained, empowered and released for ministry. His love for creating a single Kingdom—multicultural, multilingual, multinational kingdom— has made House of Prayer Church a home for people of different nationalities. His ultimate goal is to see people deeply rooted in the love and word of God.
Currently Sila is serving as part of the City West North Region team for Australian Christian Churches (ACC).
Sila and his wife, Martha, have been married for over 15 years, and have one beautiful daughter.
Martha love serving the Lord alongside her husband Sila. She enjoys serving in the Music Ministry together with her husband and this has been one of the most joy-filled experiences in their lives.
Martha has been serving as the leader of the Slingshot Ladies—Women’s Ministry— for over 10 years. She has a big heart for women of all ages and stages of life; her passion is to help these women find their true treasure and to realise how valuable they are in the eyes of God.
